Squadang

Founder Name: Anesu Malisa

Location: Cape Townn

Bio

Anesu (aka The Blck Sparrow) is a creative innovator with a mission to disrupt the everyday narrative of humanity.

With an Executive Certificate in Project Management from the University Of Stellenbosch Business School and having been a Youth engagement

Intern, Communications Intern, Internship Facilitator and Youth Pastor, over last 5 years. All of that experience equipped him with the skills needed to provide new and innovative solutions to different fields. 

He also believes... "if I don’t know how to do it, I just google it."

About Squadang

Squadang is a messaging platform that aims to help make organizing get together's with friends easier for Gen Z.

From conceptualization (Finding things to do, aligning calendars, send invites etc.) to execution (event reminders, mobile wallet to split and pay bills and much more). Turning screen time into quality time. 

Open Sesyme

Founder Name: Silindile Ngwane

Location: Mthata 

Bio

I am Silindile Ngwane, CEO and Co-founder of Open Sesyme. 

I'm a WSU BCo Accounting Science alumnus. My favourite movie is Tomorrowland and my favourite song is "We Are Growing" by Margaret Singana. 

I am on a mission to make Africa a technology powerhouse.

About Open Sesyme

We are a team of four geeks and visionaries creating Open Sesyme.

We aim to create an e-textbook subscription platform for University Students. For the purpose to make textbooks affordable and accessible to students.

This service would allow students to save money on textbooks and enable them to find and communicate with other students who share the same interests or study the same course.

Syked

Founder Name: Wandile Khumalo

Location: Johannesburg

Bio

I’m an outgoing family man who has a love for technology which has always found me looking at various processes and asking how they could be improved through the use of technology. 

I have a strong passion for knowledge and research and this has contributed to my success over the years in my career. In my spare time, I enjoy socialising with friends and family and watching sports.

About Syked

Syked is an online virtual private practice that provides counselling sessions to students in the comfort of their own home over secure video consultation. 

Patients have access so a wide database of social workers, counselling psychologists and registered counsellors to choose from. In doing so we remove all the hard costs and the stigma associated with traditional private practices and make it more affordable. We also provide free weekly topical discussions that students face on a day to day basis in order to educate students on mental health wellbeing.

Sompisi Care

Founder Name: Wendy Phumie

Location: Cape Town

Bio

Wendy Mbele is a passionate serial entrepreneur in the field of technology, a mom of 5, a cheerleader and champion for girls and women’s rights. She still volunteers with organisations like The A21 Campaign, Hillsong and the Step-up foundation.

She runs social groups for ladies called, sisters in business, the step-up sisterhood and moms united. Every August through her work, they provide free consultation and IT services to organisations working with women, children and people with disabilities.

Sompisi Care provides technology driven solutions and devices to accelerate access to quality and convenient health care.

Home based care is a unique and exclusive service offering in the South African market that has been providing patients, with specific healthcare needs with access to high quality managed care in the comfort of their home. Our digital platform enables easy and secure access to the service.

AgriCool

Founder Name: Zamokuhle Thwala

Location: Pietermaritzburg

Bio

I'm Zamokuhle Thwala from Durban. I'm the founder and CEO of AgriCool. I have studied agricultural engineering at UKZN and I'm passionately using technology to better people's lives.

About Agricool

Over 95% of the small-holder farmers in South Africa are deprived an access to finance or agricultural credit due to lack of collateral.

To solve the problem, we are bringing AgriCool, an alternative financing system that is a digital crowdfunding platform that empowers small-holder farmers by connecting with investors. 

Our funding is fast and collateral free. Our investors get a transparent and lucrative investment opportunity.
